Discover Your Power am Engadin Ultra Trail 2026

Samedan, 12 July 2026

For the sixth time, the lower Upper Engadin will be transformed into a trail-running paradise on 17 and 18 July 2026. Across four spectacular distances between Celerina, Zuoz and Samedan, trail runners will experience the full power of the Engadin mountains: crystal-clear alpine lakes, historic villages, technical trails and breathtaking panoramic views. Whether over 16 or 102 kilometres, sporting challenge and pure enjoyment of nature combine to create an unforgettable experience.

The enthusiasm continues to grow

Demand for the Engadin Ultra Trail continues to increase. With rising participant numbers and a steadily growing proportion of women across all distances, the event has established itself as one of Switzerland’s most popular trail-running events.

Compact schedule and a shared finisher experience

As in previous years, the flagship EUT102 race will start on Friday evening, 17 July 2026, at 11:00 pm. This schedule allows participants from all four distances to reach the finish within a similar time window on Saturday.

The result is a unique shared finisher experience and an emotional, atmospheric awards ceremony at the Promulins Arena in Samedan.

Culture meets sport: Friday evening concert highlight

A special highlight awaits even before the main race begins. On Friday evening, a concert will take place at Chesa Planta as part of the “Back to the Roots” series.

With a cosy food and drink area and a lively atmosphere, the evening will provide the perfect warm-up for the ultra start at 11:00 pm.

Four distances – countless highlights

The routes pass through five Engadin villages and take runners past highlights including Corviglia, Muottas da Schlarigna, Muottas Muragl, Munt Seja, the Padella panoramic trail and Chamanna d’Es-cha.

Technical trails, expansive views and varied sections through the Engadin landscape make every race a truly special experience.

Safety and comfort at the highest level

Everything has also been carefully prepared in terms of safety. Alternative bad-weather routes are available for all sections at higher elevations. Any remaining snowfields have been taken into account during the route planning.

Large parts of the course are accessible via alpine and forest roads, while mobile phone coverage is available along 97 per cent of the route. The combination of valley and mountain sections not only creates an exciting and varied race but also enables efficient support for participants.

Once again, Ovento AG’s TPS System will be used for all participants in the EUT102 and EUT53. It provides live timing and live tracking for the organising committee, safety teams, support crews and spectators. The athletes’ current positions and rankings are therefore available at all times.

The EUT102, EUT53 and ET23 races are recognised by ITRA and UTMB and count towards international rankings.

“The Engadin Ultra Trail represents pure emotion, sporting challenge and the unique beauty of our region. We look forward to welcoming every runner who wants to discover their own power in 2026,” says Reto Franziscus, President of the Organising Committee.
