Route adjustments for the Engadin Ultra Trail – even more trails

The Engadin Ultra Trail will take place for the seventh time on July 16th/17th, 2027.
The routes have remained essentially unchanged since the first event.
The goal was, and remains, to maintain the popular and now traditional trails. The organizing team will only consider route adjustments if they noticeably improve the quality and appeal of the races.
For the next edition, two sections of the EUT102 will undergo major modifications. The sole purpose of these modifications is to switch from gravel roads to trails.
The first section is located immediately after Zuoz in the direction of Chamanna d'Es-cha (EUT102 and EUT53). Instead of following the monotonous gravel road as before, the new route leads through the forest and, above all, on trails to the Alp Es-cha Dadour.

The second change occurs above Samedan, in the last few kilometers before the finish. Instead of going via Marguns, the new route leads directly to Samedan via Alp Clavadatsch. This Clavadatsch Trail was maintained by the municipality of Samedan last year, so it's now really flowy. This section applies to all routes equally.

Both adjustments contribute to increasing the trail running component of the Engadin Ultra Trail to 55% and further enhancing the appeal of the races. The course length remains virtually unchanged at approximately 102 km.
