On July 18–19, 2025, the Engadin Ultra Trail will take place for the fifth time. Trail runners will explore the diversity of the Lower Engadin across four varied routes between Celerina and Zuoz. The courses lead past alpine lakes, through historic villages, and up to breathtaking viewpoints. Whether 16 or 102 kilometers – the Engadin Ultra Trail combines athletic challenge with scenic beauty.
Unbroken enthusiasm surrounds the event, with around 700 participants expected – an increase of approximately 30% compared to the previous year. The percentage of female runners continues to grow across all distances. The Engadin Ultra Trail is thus establishing itself as one of the most popular trail running events in Switzerland.
Compact race schedule and shared finish experience
As in the previous year, the EUT102 – the longest distance – will start on Friday evening at 11:00 PM. This adjustment allows all four distances to reach the finish closer together on Saturday, enabling a shared finisher experience and a festive award ceremony in the Promulins Arena in Samedan.
Where culture meets sport: Friday night concert
Before the EUT102 even begins, a special highlight awaits both guests and locals: on Friday evening, a live concert will take place at Chesa Planta as part of the “Back to the Roots” series. Performing will be the local band “Dog on the Feet.” A cozy food and drinks stand will provide for your needs. Immediately afterward, the final preparations begin for the EUT102 start at 11:00 PM.
Four distances, countless highlights
The routes of 102, 53, 23, or 16 kilometers pass through five Engadin villages and well-known landmarks such as Corviglia, Muottas da Schlarigna, Muottas Muragl, Munt Seja, the Padella panoramic trail, and Chamanna d'Es-Cha. Technical trails, expansive views, and diverse natural sections make this race a unique experience.
From a safety perspective, everything is in place. Alternative routes are available for all elevation zones in case of bad weather. Remaining snowfields have been taken into account during route planning. Most parts of the trail are accessible via alpine and forest roads, and mobile coverage is available on 97% of the course. The combination of valley and mountain sections ensures not only dynamic racing but also easier support for participants.
The EUT102, EUT53, and ET23 are officially registered as ITRA and UTMB point races, contributing to international rankings. sind ITRA- und UTMB-Punkterennen und zählen zur internationalen Wertung.
